The History of the Civil War in America - A 2-Volume Leather-Bound Set - 1863-1868

This is a two-volume set of The History of the Civil War in America, written by John S. C. Abbott.  The set was published in NY by Henry Bill in 1863 (vol. 1) and 1866 (vol. 2).  Each volume is heavily illustrated with maps, diagrams, and steel engravings.  The books have leather covers with tooled design.  The page edging is marbled.  This set is in great condition for its age with wear to the covers and yellowing to the pages.  This set would make a lovely Christmas gift for any collector of antique books.
