Celebrate the rich history of America’s most beloved country music institution with this beautiful oversized first edition of Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry by Jack Hurst, published by Harry N. Abrams, Inc., New York, in 1975. Featuring an introduction by Roy Acuff, this impressive coffee table volume tells the story of the Grand Ole Opry from its beginnings through its first fifty years, bringing to life the performers, personalities, and traditions that shaped American country music. Produced with the cooperation of the Grand Ole Opry and its stars, the book is filled with rare archival photographs from WSM Radio, specially commissioned images, and personal photographs shared by many of country music’s legendary performers.

This substantial hardcover contains 364 pages and measures 10.5 x 14 inches. It is lavishly illustrated with 463 photographs, including 265 in full color.

The original dust jacket shows only minor age-related wear from normal handling and shelf storage. The hardcover binding is tight, the pages are clean, and the book is in great overall vintage condition. It would make a wonderful addition to a country music collection, Nashville memorabilia collection, or vintage library.
