History of Painting - Hyperion Two-Volume Boxed Set, 1951

This is a two-volume boxed set of lovely art books published by the Hyperion Press in 1951.  The set contains Classic Painting and Modern Painting.  In each volume, you will find color plates and black and white illustration, accompanied by text.  Each volume measures 5.5” x 7.5” and contains over 350 pages.  The volumes are contained in a box.  The spines have faded, but each book is in excellent condition otherwise.
