Cherry Ames Nurse Series Books 1-4, 1943-44

This is a set of books one through four of the Cherry Ames, Nurse series by Helen Wells.  The Cherry Ames series is a popular collection of mystery and adventure novels about a young, resourceful nurse, published by Grosset & Dunlap from 1943 to 1968. The books follow Cherry Ames through various nursing roles, from student and army nurse to chief and private duty nurse, often involving solving mysteries in different settings like hospitals, cruise ships, and ranches. The series, which includes over 27 titles, was popular with young readers and has seen modern reprints.  These books wear dust jackets that show age; however, their covers and pages are in great condition.  Each book measures 5.25” x 7.5” and contains over 200 pages.
