Four Novels from Madeline Leslie’s Woodbine Series - 1869. Leslie (a pseudonym of Harriette Newell Baker, 1815–1893) wrote this series of six moral and religious storybooks for children and families. The Woodbine Series typically included uplifting stories emphasizing Christian virtue, honesty, hard work, and faith. The books include black and white illustration. As these books are about 175 years old, they their decorative covers vary in condition. The spines are gorgeous. Some of the books have loose end pages. Overall, they are in fair to good condition. Each novel measures 4.75” x 7” and contains around 280 pages.
